'Behind The Words' Poetry & Lyric Book by Michele Stodart (Signed)

'Behind The Words' features original poetry, reflections and lyrics from Michele Stodart. This is her debut book written and sculpted around her third studio album 'Invitation' released in September 2023, which went on to receive the award for ‘Album of the Year’ at the UK Americana Awards 2024.

Also included in the book are illustrations by artist Joni Belaruski, whose striking visual interpretations add a further dimension to the story. This book is an extension and exploration to further enquire behind the words of songwriting.

Sometimes a song will only allow us to travel so far. Its need for structure and repetition will eventually take over. I found myself wanting to say more, to understand and unravel some of the imagery and stories behind the words that were coming up… To open the door and take a step outside the walls of songwriting.

With everything I create, I hope whoever reads and listens can find their own connection to it and draw their own stories and experiences from the poems, songs, and illustrations in this book.
